British Council  Team 

 

  

Kate Wilson Hargreaves 

Kate is the team leader and programme manager for Tajaawob for the British Council. She worked on transforming customer services in local government in London, and as a consultant she has worked  at the Centre for Good Governance in Hyderabad, India; for Transparency International UK and Kenya; for the Kenya Ministry of Planning and World Bank on social accountability in cash assistance mechanisms, the the Ministry of Finance in Jamaica on public expenditure management reform and for numerous UK government departments  including on an independent complaints mechanisms for public complaints against the police.  Kate was educated at Oxford University and is a citizen of the UK, Ireland and possibly Scotland.

 

 


 

Ania Gaboune 

Ania Gaboune is the Information and Reporting Officer for Tajaawob, and her work focuses mainly on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for the Programme. Ania is a Master's graduate from the University of Edinburgh, and holds a BA in Political Science from McGill University. She has worked primarily in social-based research (mainly qualitative) in Canada, Jordan, Scotland, and Egypt. Prior she worked in several departments at the Government of Canada.

 

 


                                                             

Ismail Abu Arafeh 

Ismail is the Operations Manager of Tajaawob, mainly responsible for day to day operations of the programme. He graduated with a BA in International Studies from the University of Denver, Colorado and since then returned to Palestine joining many civil society initiatives and programs that aim to empower citizens and enable them to contribute to positive change in their communities. Ismail has worked with global communities on a local government and citizen engagement program, while being involved in many initiatives that empowered Palestinians, particularly youth, in making social and economic positive change within their society.

 

 


   

Mira Koussa

Mira is the programme administrator for Tajaawob. She joined the British Council in 1995 as the Personal Assistant of the Director for 4 years, then moving to the Ramallah office and working as Customer Relations Officer dealing with all our customers visiting our information/teaching centre.  In 2006 she moved back to the EJM office as Customer Relations officer working on Exams, customers and projects.

Rami Naser Eddin 

Rami Naser Eddin graduated from Ort Technological College in Jerusalem, with BA in Civil Engineering and a concentration in Computer Technology.  With support from Cisco Systems, he became MYTecC Manager and Regional Coordinator in the region. However, he felt that engineering was not the best way to confront the many challenges that Palestinians youth are facing. So he moved to community service, volunteerism, and civic engagement. Rami held several positions in various Palestinian non-profit organisations in addition to his vast experience with international organisations. Due to his wide involvement in community service and civic engagement, he developed skills in training and mentoring, fundraising, and professional writing. Rami is on co-founder and Executive Director of Palestinian Vision Organisation (PalVision) established in 1988. 

 


  

Alaa Saffouri 

Alaa graduated with a major in English Literature and minor in Translation from Birzeit University in 2011. She has worked in field of civil community development throuh Palestine Writin Workshop then moved to the field of political and historic research with the Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs. She has been working with Palestinian Vision Organization in Jerusalem since September 2014 as a project coordinator on the Tajaawob program. 

 

 


 

Mohammed Ewawi 

Mohammed Ewawi was born in Jerusalem in 1982, he obtained his BA in Accounting from Bethlehem University. He began his career in the Palestinian Housing Council, then he worked at Dalia Foundation. He currently works as Financial and Administration Director at the Palestinian Vision Organisation. He joined "Tajawoob" team to manage project expenses.

 

 


 

Amer Daraghmeh

Amer has been working as a Field Coordinator in the Tajaawob program since its inception in 2014 covering field work in the five main targeted communities (Furush Beit Dajan, Um Salamona, Hableh, Qalqiliya City, and Azzoun). He is responsible for Palestinian Vision Organization’s office in Bethlehem and is the South Coordinator for the organization.

Jumana Dabis

Jumana received her Bachelor's Degree in Politics from Earlham College in IN, USA. Following her return to Palestine, she worked with different local and international non-governmental organizations on issues relating to higher education, workers' rights, and various projects aimed at improving the current social, cultural, and economic reality in Palestine. She received a Masters' Degree in International Relations from Birzeit University.

Marwa Abu Audeh

Marwa is the programme coordinator for Tajaawob for the Coalition for Accountability & Integrity -AMAN. She worked on a projects coordinator at Transparency International Palestine’s office in Gaza. Marwa manages youth initiatives, institutions initiatives, activities of municipalities and Public Shareholding Companies on AMAN Gaza Sectors, which aims to engage communities at a grassroots level with decision-makers in the culture of anti-corruption..  Marwa was educated at Islamic University and having a master degree in Economic Developments . A citizen of Gaza strip of Palestine.

  

 


 

 Viola Attallah

Viola has a BA in Public Administration – Birzeit University, 2009 and MA in Democracy and Human Rights – Birzeit University, 2011. She is the manager of Tajawob Project at the Coalition for Accountability and Integrity – AMAN. She was responsible for the coordination of the Local Government Sector and several projects, she worked with AMAN as an administrative assistant since March 2010 for AMAN`s core program in addition to the project "Enhancing the Effectiveness of an Independent Judiciary".  From October 2009, she worked as a volunteer in AMAN’s administrative department and Resource Center.

  

 


 

Mohammad Abu Salah

Mohammad has a BA in Finance and Banking, An- Najah National University 2009 On September 2013, Mohammad has started his job with AMAN as field coordinator for Tajaawob project. He had worked as Community Outreach and Professional Development Coordinator with AMIDEAST- USAID Model Schools Network (MSN) Program. For 3 years, also he worked as an accountant and fundraiser officer. Mohammad was active volunteer with the Public Relation Department at An- Najah National University.
