Tajaawob on Wheels in Um Salamona to Discuss Health Clinic Issue

On 24th of October 2015, Tajaawob on Wheels (ToW) visited the village of Um Salamona in Bethlehem to discuss the need for a health clinic in the village. Mohamed Rizeq, General Manger of Health in Nablus was on the bus with Ihab Al-Jariri (24 FM) to discuss the worsening health situation in Um Salamona due to the lack of a health clinic in the village.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) represented by Mr.Rizeq promised to open and operate a clinic in the village for two days per week on the condition that the MoH would transfer the files of diabetes patients from the Health Directorate Office to the new clinic.

Mr. Reziq met with the family of a 4 years old girl who has a growth problem and needs constant medical attention, as the community tried to emphasize the need for a clinic in the village. Mr. Reziq promised to directly follow up on the girls case.

ToW seeks to bridge the gap between decision-makers and citizens in order to improve the responsiveness of authorities to the needs of the communities.
